Introduction to ISO 45001 Lead Auditor:Â
In 2018, ISO 45001, a standard that focuses on risks and opportunities replaced BS OHSAS 18001 which focused only on occupational risk making the latter (BS OHSAS 18001) outdated, and the former (ISO 45001:2018) officially the accredited ISO standard and what you should get if you are looking to hold an accredited ISO certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
The Chartered Quality Institute & the International Register of Certificated Auditors (CQI IRCA), maintains five (5) auditor grades namely (Associate Auditor, Internal Auditor, Auditor, Lead Auditor, and the Principal Auditor) with 13 schemes amongst which QMS, EMS, and OHSMSÂ are in more demand. In this article, we will focus on the ISO 45001 Scheme, and the Lead Auditor grade.
